NC Pickle Festival
From the NC Pickle Festival website: “Every year in April, Mount Olive the community and Mt. Olive the company come together to celebrate a mutually dill-lightful relationship. Pickles may be the theme, but community is what the festival is all about.
Coordinated by the North Carolina Pickle Festival, Inc. in partnership with the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, the award-winning event is part street fair, part community festival, part family reunion. With pickles.
With its presenting sponsors - Mt. Olive Pickle Company, the Town of Mount Olive, and the University of Mount Olive, the festival offers an opportunity for historic downtown Mount Olive to welcome thousands of visitors in what has become a local rite of spring since 1986.”

OkTrophyFest
From Trophy on Maywood:
“Oktrophyfest will be bigger and better than ever with music from the Little German Band AND Mozel Franzi and the JaJaJas from NYC (that’s right, two great German bands playing music all day long)! We’ll have food from the Wandering Wolf/Capital Club 16 and the guys from Mera Brothers Oysters will be on hand shucking up green gills. We’re also tapping a lineup of exclusive German-style beers including North Carolina Seasalt Gose, a brand new Kolsch, and our beloved Oak-Lagered Pils (and much, much more). To top it off, we’re asking folks to lend us a hand as we attempt to break the World Record for the Largest Underberg Toast.
This year we’re continuing our ongoing partnership with our good friends over at Capital Club 16 to throw the best Oktoberfest in Raleigh.”
